Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved a Law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020".

According to this, each citizen of Uzbekistan will participate as a taxpayer in the formation of the state budget, as a consumer of the amenities and services provided by the state in their use.

Starting from 2019, citizens can participate in the designation of events that will be financed from additional sources of budgets of districts (cities). At least 10 percent of additional sources of district or city budgets will be allocated for these purposes.

For the first time the state budget was considered in the form of law.

The approved law will enter into force after its signing by the President and publication in the prescribed manner.
