The second meeting of the Hungarian-Uzbek Business Council takes place in Budapest

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Hungary, on 3 October, the second meeting of the Hungarian-Uzbek Business Council was held in Budapest.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Uztekstilprom Association Ilkhom Khaydarov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Kariev Sardor, First Deputy Chairman of the Board - Member of the Board of Uzsanoatkurilishbank Akbarjonov Aziz and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSCB "Asaka" Mamadzhanov Bunyod.

The Hungarian side was attended by Board Member, Deputy General Director of OTR Bank Laszlo Wolf, Vice President of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry Josef Kovacs and others.

The agenda included the issue of including Hungary in the list of countries whose state registration of medicines is recognized in Uzbekistan.

Also, the key topics of the event were the issues of strengthening bilateral ties between the business communities of the two countries, as a decisive factor in the further development of investment and trade and economic Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation.

During the meetings between representatives of the two countries, the issues of the list of commodity nomenclature were discussed, which are subject to subsidies to cover transportation costs when exporting to the EU countries, increasing the volume of copper as a raw material put up on the commodity exchange of Uzbekistan by 20 thousand tons annually for sale to companies, with European certification "EN" and "CPR".

Also the sides discussed such topics as the opening of a logistics hub in Hungary with its subsequent re-registration into a customs warehouse to organize the export of Uzbek products to the markets of Hungary and neighboring countries, using the seaports of Poti (Georgia) and Constanta (Romania).

In particular, an exchange of views took place on the intensification of partnerships between companies of Uzbekistan and Hungary, operating in the two countries.

An open dialogue made it possible to clearly identify areas of mutual interest for further in-depth interaction, meaning the development of promising projects and agreements and to determine an effective format for interaction between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Hungary.
