Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The second meeting of the energy ministers of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan was held in Tashkent.

The event was attended by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade L. Kudratov, the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan D. Mirzamakhmudov, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan A. Satkaliev, the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan P. Shakhbozov, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan M. Jabbarov and representatives of other departments and international financial institutions. At the event, a presentation of the “Project for connecting the energy systems of Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan (Green Corridor)” was presented.

At the conference, the terms of reference for the development of a preliminary feasibility study for a project to export green energy to Europe by integrating the energy sectors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were approved. 

The issue of attracting international consultants to study technical and economic conditions was considered. The basics of the project, the preparation of a draft interstate agreement and other issues were discussed.

Following the conference, relevant documents were signed.
