Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A modern thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,500 MW is being built by the Saudi company ACWA Power in the city of Shirin and Bayaut district of Syrdarya region. 

The station is equipped with the most modern and energy efficient gas turbines from Mitsubishi.

In particular, the second stage of large-sized power equipment imported from Japan arrived at the construction site of the station. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The first capacities of the station will be put into operation in July this year.

In December 2022, the first gas turbine imported from Japan was installed at this TPP.
