Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 June, the second concert within the framework of the OPEN AIR.Sahro simfoniyasi project was successfully held in Khiva. The general sponsor of the event is SOTHIS AEGIS, and the main partner is the mountain resort Amirsoy.

The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Khokimyat and the Department of Culture of Khorezm region, the State Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, as well as a number of government departments.

The musical caravan of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan headed by conductor Alibek Kabdurakhmanov stopped in legendary Khiva during his journey. At the majestic walls of the centuries-old Ichan-Kala, at the exit from the western gates of Ota-darvoz, an improvised concert stage was unfolded.

The number of viewers present was about 5,000. There were about 400 tourists alone. The public was awaited by an enchanting light and music show. The program of the concert included both classical works, melodies from movies and original arrangements of dance compositions. The songs of Michael Jackson, Modern Talking, performed by the orchestra created a special atmosphere for the younger audience as well. A special surprise for residents and guests of the city was the performance of the famous Khorezm “Lazgi”. We can say that it was a kind of flash mob, so many people dancing Lazgi at the same time were not in history.

It was the first time, Khivans noticed when they were lucky enough to hear classical music in a live performance.

The next destination of the musical caravan will be one of the oldest cities in Central Asia - Termez. There will be another musical show in the framework of the project “OPEN AIR.Sahro simfoniyasi”.
