Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Scientific Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence is being created in Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On measures to create conditions for the accelerated introduction of artificial intelligence technologies."

The institute is being created under the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the document, the new document will fulfill government orders and programs, as well as take part in fundamental and practical research.

The activities of the institute will be financed from the state budget.

The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications will appoint and dismiss the directors and deputy directors of the institute.

The President of Uzbekistan also approved the Program of Measures for the Study and Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in 2021-2022 and the List of Pilot Projects for the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Technologies implemented in 2021-2022.

In particular, it is planned to implement projects in the spheres of agriculture, transport, finance, energy, taxes, the banking sector, etc.
