Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 March, a safe bridge forum was held in the capital, dedicated to information security issues.
The main objective of the forum is to create a dialogue between the public sector and information system developers, as well as to raise awareness among professionals and the general public, to talk about the latest trends in countering information security threats.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center with the support of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPU).
The Forum was attended by IT specialists, international experts and experts. In particular, experts from such large companies in the country, as well as CIS countries, such as E & Y, D: CODE, BePro, Cumulative Business Solutions, Ideal Green Light, spoke about modern means of information protection, the practical application of blockchain technology in Uzbekistan, the important information management system, shared experience in protecting information in intellectual property and bank cards, ensuring cybersecurity with a growing number of attacks, protecting data from counterfeit.
The forum participants discussed how data should be processed, what information technologies are necessary for business in the fight against cybercrime, what new attacks should be feared.
In particular, in their reports on the topics “Information protection: intellectual property, bank cards”, “Cyber security: more than protection? Ensuring cyber security with a growing number of attacks ”and the use of a crypto-token as a secure medium for EDS keys” leading experts highlighted practical international experience and talked about the research conducted. Developers from IT companies resident MUIC also shared their achievements in the field of information security.
It is worth noting that the Forum was held online, thanks to a master class in which the Technical Assistance Center specialists vividly demonstrated the vulnerability of information systems and shared their methods of protection, as well as a short but fascinating quiz - “Do you know?”. Quiz participants, online, answered 10 questions about cyber attacks, as well as activities of the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center.
Representatives of government agencies, representatives of the private sector, directors of information security, heads of IT and information security departments of various companies, industry specialists of banks, residents of the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center, media representatives, etc, attended the event.
