Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent years, the country has taken the necessary organizational measures to develop livestock farming and its industries, feed supply, as well as strengthen interaction between the population and processors of livestock products, and organize livestock keeping at home.

It should be noted that ensuring food security, fully providing the population with cheap but high-quality meat and dairy products, as well as ensuring employment by creating new jobs is becoming important in the country.

At the forty-sixth plenary meeting of the Senate, the Law “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the size of land plots allocated for dehkan farming” was discussed.

The law introduces amendments and additions to the law “On Dekhkan Farming” and the Land Code.

In particular, the Law establishes the allocation of land for running a dekhkan farm for the purpose of growing fodder crops in the Republic of Karakalpakstan from 0.06 hectares to 5 hectares.

During the discussion, the senators noted that this Law is designed to support producers of livestock products in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and ensure sustainable growth in production in this area.

At the end of the discussion, the Law was approved by the senators.
