Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 3 to 5 October 2024, an international conference on "The Role of Local Communities in Improving the Quality of Life" will be held in Samarkand.

This international conference is organized within the framework of the initiative "From Poverty to Prosperity" put forth by the President of Uzbekistan.

The main objective of the event is to broadly promote Uzbekistan’s experience in forming and developing local community institutions and a strong civil society, as well as to study best practices from foreign countries and establish mutual cooperation.

This international gathering will bring together experts from more than 50 countries, along with representatives from numerous reputable international organizations.

Participants will include representatives from various international organizations, ambassadors from foreign countries in Uzbekistan, as well as Uzbek specialists, scholars, and members of the "Council of Local Communities."

At the conclusion of the conference, a final resolution will be adopted based on the outcomes of the discussions.
