Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 18 February 2020, the Embassy of Uzbekistan took part in the city of Ashgabat in celebrations dedicated to the Day of the Diplomatic Worker of Turkmenistan.

An exhibition of culture and art of the peoples of the world was organized at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, at which the Embassy was presented with an original stand on the industrial, investment and tourist potential of the republic, handicrafts, as well as books, country journals and reference books on pearls The Great Silk Road - Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

At the same time, videos on historical and architectural sights of Uzbekistan, high-tech and innovative enterprises operating in our country, including cars and buses manufactured at UzAuto Motors and SamAuto plants, were shown on the monitor.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who visited the Uzbek exposition, got acquainted with the subjects of applied art and materials on the modern achievements of the republic. The Foreign Minister stated the commitment of the Turkmen side to the further development and expansion of relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership between our countries.

The exposition of Uzbekistan was also visited by members of the Government of Turkmenistan, deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of public organizations, teachers and students of a number of higher educational institutions and the media of Turkmenistan, as well as heads and employees of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Ashgabat.
