Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures to accelerate the comprehensive development of the education system by improving the quality of scientific, methodological and research work" was adopted.

The Resolution created the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for the Development of Education (Republican Center).

The Republican Center is a legal entity in the form of a state institution.

Republican Center, including:

- develops and approves requirements for educational standards, curricula and programs;

- organizes the publication, approbation and examination of new textbooks and educational and methodological complexes for preschool, general education and out-of-school educational organizations.

General management of the activities of the Republican Center is carried out by divisions of the Advisor to the President on science, education, health and culture.

The Republican Center is headed by a director appointed and dismissed by the President.

Requirements for educational standards, curricula and programs developed and approved by the Republican Education Center are mandatory for preschool, general education and out-of-school educational organizations, as well as for training courses.

According to the Resolution, authorized state bodies carry out licensing, attestation and state accreditation of organizations of preschool, general secondary and out-of-school education, as well as training courses in agreement with the Republican Center.
