Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on expanding the range of prosthetic products and technical rehabilitation equipment provided by the state.

The state will guarantee 30 types of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation, instead of the previous 18.

From 1 May 2024, the amount of funds covered by the state to people in need for the purchase of prosthetic products and rehabilitation equipment, based on market conditions, will be increased, on average, to three times, and for some types of these funds - up to ten times.

The need of persons with disabilities will be determined based on a certificate of disability without a separate medical report.

Medical reports on the need for prostheses for people of retirement age are issued in the “Medical and Social Expertise” electronic system.

In Tashkent and Samarkand region, a voucher system for the provision of prostheses and rehabilitation equipment is being introduced until 1 May 2024, in other regions - until 1 October 2024.
