Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives from more than 20 Uzbek exporting companies participated in a webinar focused on the supply of fresh fruit and vegetable products to the Swedish market, Dunyo news agency reported.
The event was organized by the Swedish National Board of Trade Kommerskollegium in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm.
During the webinar, it was emphasized that Uzbek fruit and vegetable products are primarily delivered to Sweden through the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy. In this regard, the prospects for opening warehouses and trade houses in Stockholm and Helsingborg were discussed, which would enable direct delivery of export goods.
The Swedish side prepared a presentation explaining the tariff and notarial requirements for importing fresh fruit and vegetable products into Sweden, as well as the specifics of interacting with large retail chains and other aspects of foreign economic activity.
The webinar also addressed support measures for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Uzbekistan. Special attention was given to raising the professional level of employees at exporting companies within the framework of the Open Trade Gate program, implemented by the Kommerskollegium Trade Board.
