Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 February, the ITWomenUz - 2021 project was launched to improve knowledge and skills of girls and women in the field of ICT.
This project is being implemented with the joint participation of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family, the Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technologies (IT Park), the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy (TUIT), Inha University in Tashkent and the Amity University in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the project, training courses for about two thousand girls and women in the field of ICT will be organized in the Training Centers for Digital Technologies in the regions, as well as at TUIT, Inha University in Tashkent and Amity University in Tashkent in February-March 2021.
The purpose of these courses is to give knowledge to girls and women about modern technologies, increase their computer literacy, teach them the skills of creating mobile applications and websites, as well as the basics of computer design, and thereby lay the foundation for the full use of information technology in their work and provide support at the initial stage in the direction of ICT.
At the first stage of the "ITWomenUz - 2021" project, from 17 February to 6 March 2021, training sessions will be held to improve computer literacy and in the direction of e-business.
At the next stage of the project, it is planned to organize training courses on the creation of mobile applications and websites, as well as in the direction of computer design.
The training courses within the framework of the ITWomenUz - 2021 project are attended by girls and women included in the "Women’s Notebook" and "Youth Notebook" and who received recommendations from the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family, as well as those who need to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of ICT as part of their professional activities.
For the effective organization of the educational process, specialists from the Training Centers of Digital Technologies in the field, as well as professors and teachers of TUIT, Inha University in Tashkent and Amity University in Tashkent were involved.
As a result of the training course, students with knowledge and skills in the field of information and communication technologies will be awarded certificates.
The Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family will provide employment for project participants who meet modern requirements and possess new knowledge and skills, and it is also expected to provide practical assistance in providing loans to girls and women wishing to conduct entrepreneurial activities in the field of information and communication technologies.
