Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 January 2020, in the format of a videoconference, a discussion was held on the implementation of the tasks to ensure the growth rate of production volumes, the use of existing opportunities and new reserves in the industry, set on 10 January during a video conference chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov heard reports from his deputies, as well as heads of departments and divisions of the ministry, on the work being done within the network schedules and plans to achieve targets for 2023. In particular, they discussed the development of industrial infrastructure, the expansion of free economic zones with the creation of branches in other regions, the attraction of investments in industrial projects in 60 regions with a lagging level of economic development, the organization in each region of specialized schools that train engineering personnel.

After a detailed analysis in the context of each area, algorithms for solving existing issues were developed, indicating specific deadlines for eliminating problems and assigning personal responsibility.

Following the discussion, the responsible managers were given additional targeted instructions to organize close interdepartmental cooperation in the implementation of the tasks to increase industrial production by at least 14 percent in 2023, set by the Head of State. It was emphasized that the study of the effectiveness of the measures taken with the departure of the formed working groups directly to the field will be carried out on a systematic basis.
