Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has begun the process of privatizing a 51% state stake in the authorized capital of Dori-Darmon JSC.

The State Assets Management Agency has announced the start of the Express of Interest application phase of the process of privatization of a 51% state stake in the authorized capital of Dori-Darmon JSC.

Portfolio Investments is the lead consultant of the State Assets Agency on this transaction.

JSC "Dori-Darmon" is a wholesale and retail pharmaceutical business that confidently maintains a leading position in the market of Uzbekistan, providing the population and medical institutions of the republic with a wide range of high-quality products for over 90 years.

The company includes 8 joint-stock companies, 12 limited liability companies, 17 warehouses and 15 control and analytical laboratories. More than 2,280 state pharmacies operate on the territory of the republic.

The authorized capital of the company is 86.3 billion soums. Net revenue in 2021 amounted to 402 billion soums. Net profit in 2021 exceeded 32.7 billion soums.

The sale of the asset is carried out through a privatization mechanism open to all interested parties, based on the principles of competition.

Applicants are invited to express their interest in the Application form (Express of interest). The application deadline is no later than 20 October 2022.

Applicants who successfully complete the Express of Interest phase will be invited to participate in the next phase of the privatization process, the Non-Binding Proposal Submission (NBO), and a Process Letter will be sent to them.
