Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the regulation on the procedure for consular legalization of documents and acts in the Republic of Uzbekistan and abroad, Norma reports.

The regulation determines the order:

Of legalization of documents and acts in the republic and consular offices of Uzbekistan;

Of making a record of legalization;

as well as requirements for these documents and acts.

Legalization of documents and acts by consular offices confirms their legality in international relations.

Consular legalization does not confirm the facts stated in the document or act, but only the authority of the person who signed it, authentication of the seal or stamp printed on the document or act.

The function of consular legalization is carried out:

in foreign countries - by consular offices of Uzbekistan;

in Uzbekistan – by the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
