The procedure for confirming force majeure circumstances within the framework of local economic agreements has been established

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulation on confirmation of force majeure circumstances (force majeure) arising under local economic contracts.

According to the Regulations, force majeure circumstances are confirmed by the issuance of a certificate, which is issued by a QR code (matrix barcode), certified by the electronic digital signature of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The applicant applies to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry directly or through its official website to obtain a certificate of confirmation of force majeure.

The Chamber considers the submitted documents within 1 working day.

In case of incomplete provision of documents, the applicant is sent a request about the need to provide information and documents that were not provided in full, within 10 days.

The decision to confirm or deny the existence of Force Majeure circumstances is made within 15 days.

In case of refusal to issue a certificate, a reasoned response letter is sent to the applicant within 3 days.

In the case of issuing a certificate, the applicant is notified within 1 day and the certificate is published on the official website.

The certificate is issued for an indefinite period. The certificate is of a one-time nature and applies only to the contractual relations specified in the application.

This procedure does not apply to force majeure circumstances arising under the terms of foreign trade agreements and international treaties.
