Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government Resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for organizing paid practical training for students of educational organizations of higher education at enterprises in economic sectors.

According to the Regulations, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation holds a competition among students at least once a year to organize paid practical training.

At the same time, 500 places will be allocated for internship (for the city of Tashkent - 45, for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions - 35).

To participate in the competition, the student applies to person, by mail or electronically to the educational organization of higher education in which he is studying.

Student to participate in the competition:

- must be a graduate student;

- his area of education (specialty) must correspond to the area of activity at the industry enterprise;

- must be a resident of Uzbekistan.

The higher education organization provides information regarding the students who applied to the Special Commission with a referral letter within 5 working days.

A special commission reviews these documents within 5 working days from the date of their receipt and decides on the student’s participation in the competition or refusal to participate.

A special commission defends the work plan for organizing student internships (in the form of a presentation), the final decision is made within 20 days.

Within 10 working days from the date of the final decision, information about the results of the competition is posted on the official website of the Ministry.

The internship is carried out within the time frame established by the curriculum, from 1 to 3 months.

There is no probationary period for a student to complete an internship.

The internship costs of the winning students are covered by the Special Commission within 15 days after the final decision is made.

At the same time, the student’s salary in the amount of 2 times the gross income and the social tax accrued to him are credited to the appropriate account.

The provision does not apply to military and paramilitary organizations of higher education.
