Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the People’s Republic of China, a presentation on the tourism sector “Uzbekistan - the pearl of the Silk Road” was organized in Shanghai.

The event was attended by a delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, officials of the People’s Republic of China in the field of tourism, as well as entrepreneurs from both countries and media representatives.

During the presentation, information was provided about specially created free tourist zones in several regions of our country that have high tourism potential. Officials speaking at the event noted that increasing the flow of tourists between the two countries is an important market for both sides.

The event also included a presentation of projects implemented in cooperation with the online travel platform Trip.com from China.
