Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 December, the premiere of a new production of the ballet “The Nutcracker” to the original music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky took place on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi.
The ballet performance in a new interpretation is focused on the modern perception of the classic work. The premiere show took viewers into a world of wonder and fantasy, filled with dancing snowflakes, a trip to the Ice Kingdom and a meeting with the Nutcracker.
Classical music performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, spectacular scenery and modern lighting technologies did not leave the audience indifferent.
The magical performance has become one of the most memorable cultural events on the eve of the winter holidays. The updated production was prepared with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
