The portal "IT-talents of Uzbekistan" to be launched

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the President’s decree “On measures to further improve the education system in the field of information technology, development and integration of scientific research with the IT industry”, students who are prize-winners of republican subject Olympiads in the field of computer science, programming and information technology, held among students of the relevant areas of education of higher education institutions (HEI), as well as prestigious international Olympiads, will be admitted to study in the relevant areas of the HEI master’s program within the allocated quota without passing exams on the basis of a state grant.

All HEIs training personnel in this area, starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, will conduct their own multi-stage (district (city) - region - higher educational institution) Olympiads in the subject "Informatics and Information Technology" among students of graduating school classes.

Students who take 1-3 places will be admitted to study, without passing exams, with payment for their tuition for the first academic year at the expense of HEI.

Starting from 2021, professors-teachers who have trained the winners of international Olympiads in the subject "Informatics and Information Technology" will be remunerated in a lump sum in the amount of one monthly salary.

HEI graduates who have received an honors degree in areas of education related to computer science and information technology are admitted to the HEI data master’s program on a paid contract basis without passing the final exam.

Teachers on the subject "Informatics and Information Technologies" of schools with secondary specialized education and teaching experience of at least 1 year, are admitted to the pedagogical areas of TUIT in distance learning on a paid contract basis without entrance exams.

Also, by 1 January 2021, the portal "IT-talents of Uzbekistan" will be launched.

The portal, in particular, will post information about the ongoing Olympiads, contests and promotions in the field of programming.
