Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution “On measures to accelerate the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in 2023” was adopted.

According to the Resolution, renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 4,300 MW will be put into operation in 2023. Including:

large solar and wind power plants - 2,100 MW;

solar panels installed at social facilities, buildings and structures of economic entities, as well as in apartments - 1,200 MW;

small photovoltaic stations built by entrepreneurs -550 MW.

Also in 2023:

27 large solar and wind power plants will be built as part of a public-private partnership;

low-power installations of renewable energy sources will be installed at 20,000 social facilities and public institutions;

11,000 business entities will install solar panels and build small photovoltaic stations;

in 37,000 apartments of the population

low-power installations of renewable energy sources will be installed;

765 apartment buildings to be put into operation will be provided with renewable energy sources;

103 small and micro-hydro power plants will be built in the regions;

5,407 social facilities will be heated with coal.

From 1 April 2023, the program "Solar Energy" will be implemented in the regions of the republic to stimulate the installation of solar panels in households of the low power (total power up to 50 kW).

Within the framework of the program, a subsidy in the amount of 1,000 soums will be allocated for each kilowatt-hour of electricity generated by solar panels installed by the population.

In accordance with the Resolution, the Green Energy company was also established in the form of a limited liability company for the installation and operation of low-power installations of renewable energy sources in buildings and structures of social facilities, government agencies and other organizations.
