The official opening of the Youth Tourism Gathering takes place in Shakhrisabz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The official opening of the Youth Tourism Gathering took place in Shakhrisabz district of Kashkadarya region.

This event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region, in pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to diversify domestic tourism services" dated April 30, 2022.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the event.

“The state youth policy is one of the main directions of reforms in our country. At a recent meeting chaired by the head of our state, the issue of providing talented youth with even more opportunities was discussed. In particular, within the framework of the young specialists selection program, talented graduate students were selected who will undergo internships in the system of the ministry and khokimiyat, and upon graduation will be hired. As a result, a personnel formation system will be created according to the principle “from mahalla to the republic,” the minister said. “I think that today’s rally will serve as a basis for selecting talented youth, training qualified specialists by supporting their tourism development projects, and ensuring youth employment.”

Aziz Abdukhakimov thanked the khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region and other structures for their cooperation in organizing the rally.

It should be noted that more than 15 thousand people participated in the first day of the rally. Of these, more than 700 are young people from all regions of Uzbekistan. In addition, there were foreign participants from other countries at the event.
