Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 8 June, at the residence of the President of the Italian Republic, the Quirinal Palace in Rome, an official meeting ceremony was held for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is making an official visit to this country.

On the square in honor of the distinguished guest, a guard of honor and a detachment of mounted cuirassiers were lined up. The flags of Italy, Uzbekistan and the European Union were raised on the tower of the Quirinal Palace.

The head of our state was met by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.

The military band played the national anthems of the two countries.
