The new rule on tax control of p2p transfers to be canceled

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on priority measures to implement the new Constitution of Uzbekistan, which envisages the abolition of tax controls on money transfers between individuals from 1 June 2023.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed from 1 June to cancel the procedure for issuing electronic invoices when making money transfers between individuals (p2p transfers). This is stipulated by the decree of the head of state of 8 May on priority measures for the implementation of the new version of the Constitution.

The decision was made “to ensure constitutional guarantees for the protection of property rights and the secrecy of banking operations,” since this procedure contradicts Article 41 of the new Constitution (the secrecy of banking operations, deposits and accounts, as well as the right to inherit are guaranteed by law).
