Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The new district "Yangi Toshkent” will become the 13th district of Tashkent.

A draft resolution of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on changing the boundaries of the Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts of Tashkent region, as well as Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent and on the formation of the New Tashkent district as part of the city of Tashkent was published.

The area of the Yangi Toshkent district will be 19,729.41 hectares.

According to the resolution:

The settlements and mahallas of the Yukorichirchik district will be transferred to the city of Tashkent - “Istikbol”, “Darkhon”, “Usmanabad”, “Navoi”, “Jaloltepa”, “Obodon”, “Gulistan”, “Bakhor”, “Khvan T.G.”, “Yashnabad”, “Uch Chinar”, “Nurafshon”, “Mirabad”, “Fayziabad”, “A. Yasawi”, “Balikchi”, “Yoshlik”, “Tinchlik”, “Iyk-ota”, “Birlik” ", as well as part of “Istiklol”, “Gulabad”, “Uzbekistan”, “Navruz”, “Karasuv”, “Ok aul”, “Marifat”, “Jumabazar”, “Nurli yul”, “Farovon”, “Yangi hayot”, "Sakhovat", "Kizilsai". As well as settlements and mahallas of Urtachirchik district - mahallas “Sholikor”, “Uchokli”, “Bunyodkor”, “Mash’al”, “Mustakillik”, “Gulabad”, “Yangiturmush”.

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer 19,729.41 hectares of the territory of Tashkent region, including 17,323.31 hectares of the Yukorichirchik district (of which 11,147.29 hectares of agricultural land), 2,406.1 hectares of the Urtachirchik district (of which 1,758, 41 hectares of agricultural land) within the city of Tashkent.

It is noted that the lands transferred from the Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts of the Tashkent region are transferred without changing their current categories of land fund.
