The network of international highways is developing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the participation of the Asian Development Bank, a project is being implemented to reconstruct a section of the A-380 Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beineu highway section with a cement-concrete pavement, 87 km long (228-315 km). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

This road is an important international corridor of the European route E-40 and the Asian route AN-63, passing through the territory of Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of this project, a 2-lane asphalt concrete road is being reconstructed into a 4-lane cement-concrete road. As a result, the capacity of the motorway will increase by 3 times. It is envisaged to bring the service life of the road surface up to 30 years.

As a result of the implementation of the project, a 2.5-fold increase in the tourist flow on the Bukhara and Khiva, Bukhara-Nukus routes will be achieved, as well as an increase in the attractiveness for international transit carriers of the second international transport corridor, which is part of the transport corridor of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC), passing through our country.
