Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January, the 43rd international tourism exhibition FITUR 2023 opened in Madrid.

The delegation of Uzbekistan was represented by employees of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, State Unitary Enterprise "National PR Center", JSC "Uzbekistan Airways" and 4 travel companies of our country: Uzbekistan Discovery, El Mundo Tour, Orient Voyages and Orient star group.

On 17 January, on the eve of the opening of "FITUR 2023", the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Spain organized a seminar on the topic "Uzbekistan-Spain: investment opportunities" in cooperation with the Eurasian Business Alliance "ACIR" (Spain).

The seminar was held in the office of the Madrid Business Forum. The event was attended by representatives of expert-analytical and business circles, as well as the Spanish media. On 18 November, UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili got acquainted with the national stand of Uzbekistan.

The UNWTO Secretary-General noted the rapid development of the tourism potential of our country, the heart of Central Asia, and wished great success in promoting the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan.

As part of FITUR 2023, a presentation of the tourist and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan was held.

During the days of the exhibition, Uzbek tour operators plan to establish new contacts with Spanish companies, as well as conclude contracts for organizing joint tours. For reference: FITUR is an international tourism exhibition that is regularly held at the Ifema trade and exhibition center in Madrid.

Every year the exhibition is attended by representatives of all segments of the tourism industry: tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, carriers, tourism offices, service companies, and others.

Uzbekistan has been participating in the international exhibition FITUR since 2005.
