Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Ministry of Ecology has been granted additional powers as stipulated by the Presidential decree "On Measures for Further Improvement of Hunting and Game Management Activities in the Republic."
According to the decree, the Ministry of Ecology is now empowered to:
- Approve the standard form of the agreement for the provision of hunting grounds for game management;
- Approve the format of technical and economic justification materials for game management;
- Conclude agreements with legal entities and individuals for the provision of hunting grounds for game management.
Starting from 1 October 2024, hunting permits will be issued to hunters based on quotas for the extraction of wild animals through an electronic platform.
Additionally, the following regulations for issuing hunting licenses will be established from 1 October 2024:
- Training courses will be introduced for applicants seeking a hunting license;
- The hunting license will be issued for a period of 2 years through the EPIGU to capable individuals who are 18 years old or older, have completed the training courses, and passed the tests successfully.
From 1 September 2024, game farms that organize breeding places for wild animals, small safari parks, and hunting tourism will pay property and land taxes at rates reduced by 50 percent of the established tax rate for 3 years, as well as a turnover tax at a rate of 1 percent.
