Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Program in Uzbekistan signed a document on the implementation of a project "Support for an inclusive transition to a green economy in the agri-food sector and development a climate-oriented agricultural knowledge and innovation system”.
The project with the cost of 4,150,000 euros is funded by the European Union. The implementation period is until 30 September 2025.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Agriculture with the participation of Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Charlotte Adrian, Ambassador, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan and Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan.
The new joint project is designed to contribute to an inclusive transition to a green economy in the food and agricultural sectors of Uzbekistan, as well as to the implementation of a “climate-smart” Uzbek agricultural knowledge and innovation system.
