Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 February, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Tilo  Klinner.

The parties discussed current issues of bilateral partnership, including measures for the timely implementation of agreements at the highest level, as well as prospects for strengthening cooperation between representatives of the business communities of the two countries.

Mutual readiness was expressed to stimulate the expansion of investment partnerships and industrial cooperation.

At the end of 2023, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany exceeded US$1 billion. The volume of disbursed German investments amounted to €913.2 million. There are 215 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with the participation of German capital, including 112 foreign enterprises.
