Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the afternoon of 20 June this year, a meeting was held in New York between the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov and the head of the investment fund Reface and Roosh Ventures Sergey Tokarev.

During the meeting, projects in the field of information technology and medicine were discussed.

Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov noted that Uzbekistan occupies high positions in a number of world rankings, and systematic work is currently underway to further transform Uzbekistan into a major regional IT hub.

The meeting also discussed issues of creating a favorable business environment for IT companies in Uzbekistan and holding the ICT Week, which will be held in October this year, and representatives of large companies were invited to participate this week.
