Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 15 April, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee Sang.

The Minister of ICT congratulated the Ambassador on his new appointment and wished him continued success in his work.

Minister Sherzod Shermatov placed special emphasis on joint work in order to raise the ICT sector to a new level.

Kim Hee Sang emphasized the attention and desire in Uzbekistan to the development of the ICT sector. In particular, he highly appreciated the results of the meeting held on 14 April under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the results achieved in the field of information technology and tasks for the current year.

Listing common similarities between the two countries, he also noted the growing interest in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the event, the parties noted the wide potential for cooperation between the two countries to a new level and expressed their readiness to make every effort for this.
