Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmanov met with the head of Indorama company Shri Prakash Lohia and the head of Wilmar Kuok Khoon Hong.

The meeting discussed the cultivation of special seeds and an analysis of Wilmar's achievements in the field of cotton cultivation in the Xinjiang province of China.

It was noted that for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, seeds were imported from abroad. 1.5 thousand tons of seeds were brought from China, and thanks to them, cotton yield increased from 60 to 80 centners.

Singapore-based Indorama has also emphasized its intention to use these seeds as an experiment in Uzbekistan.

The Minister, in turn, expressed his readiness to develop such promising areas and offered to demonstrate projects to partners in practice.
