The minimum price of fine-staple cotton raw materials has been announced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the widespread introduction of market principles in the field of cotton growing”, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economic Development and Combating poverty, the Council of Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Owners of Household Plots of Uzbekistan and the Uzpakhtasanoat Association were entrusted with the duty to announce the expected minimum prices for raw cotton based on an analysis of prices on the world market. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Taking into account the prices prevailing on the world market and the proposals of the responsible ministries and departments, it is announced that the minimum cost of 1 ton of medium-staple cotton raw materials grown in Uzbekistan is 10,025 thousand soums with VAT, the minimum price of 1 ton of fine-staple cotton raw materials with VAT is 15.12 million soums.

Based on this recommended minimum price, raw cotton producers and entities acquiring it independently determine the cost of raw cotton on the basis of a mutually beneficial agreement within the framework of contractual relations.
