Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Khokim of tNavoi region Normat Tursunov and the governor of Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler held negotiations at which they discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the regions.
Alexey Teksler noted that Chelyabinsk and Navon regions have a lot in common, since both regions are large industrial centers of their countries. He emphasized that metallurgy, mechanical engineering and instrument making are developed in Chelyabinsk region. In addition, the region has unique innovative competencies. This year, a plant for the production of industrial robots was opened in the region, and Texler expressed his readiness to cooperate in this direction, especially in the context of industrial regions. He also noted the importance of interaction in the field of higher and secondary specialized education, given the similar competencies of the regions.
The governor also spoke about the possibilities of the exhibition pavilion of Chelyabinsk region in Tashkent and proposed organizing similar work in an on-site format in Navoi.
In his opinion, the regions have great potential for cooperation in the field of tourism, and residents of Chelyabinsk region will be interested in traveling to Uzbekistan. In turn, he invited tourists from Uzbekistan to Chelyabinsk region, known for its thousands of lakes, ski centers and opportunities for year-round recreation.
Normat Tursunov introduced Alexey Texler to the potential of Navoi region in the field of industrial cooperation and spoke about the creation of a special technology park in the Navoi free economic zone.
He noted that the leading industries in the region are mining, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, chemical and textile industries, as well as the production of construction materials. Tursunov emphasized that enterprises in Navoi region actively cooperate with various regions of Russia.
At the end of the meeting, the khokim invited Alexey Teksler and the delegation of the government of Chelyabinsk region to visit Navoi on an official visit.
