The Law on the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Law on the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the Law, the Accounts Chamber is the highest body of the state external audit and financial control. This document regulates the activities of the Accounts Chamber.

The main tasks of the Accounts Chamber are to carry out a systematic analysis of the formation of a draft State budget and its compliance with the priorities of the country's socio-economic development, to carry out an audit of the security, sources of funding accepted by state and territorial programs, to assess the feasibility and feasibility of investment projects implemented at the expense of budget system budgets and government borrowing.

In its activities, the Accounts Chamber reports directly to the President, is accountable to him, as well as to the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis.

The structure and maximum staffing of the Accounts Chamber are approved by the President.

The Accounts Chamber is headed by a chairman who is appointed and dismissed by the President. Decrees of the President on the appointment and dismissal of the chairman of the Accounts Chamber are approved by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

The first deputy and deputy chairmen of the Accounts Chamber are appointed and dismissed by the President.

The Chamber of Accounts, within the framework of the tasks and powers entrusted to it, exercises control in the form of audit, examination and study in the form of preliminary and subsequent control.

In order to implement the tasks assigned to it, the Accounts Chamber accepts prescriptions and submissions, as well as prepares analytical briefs and conclusions.

This Law enters into force on 1 January 2020.
