Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of Oliy Majlis approved the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Accounting Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The law establishes the legal status of the Accounts Chamber as the supreme body of external audit and financial control.

The main tasks of the Accounts Chamber are the system analysis of the formation of the parameters of the draft State Budget of the country, the audit of the security of received state and territorial programs by sources of funding, the study and control of the completeness of budget revenues, the identification and mobilization of reserves for increasing the revenue of the State budget, the audit of the efficiency and legality of budget expenditures identification of reserves for their reduction.

In addition, the Accounts Chamber makes an assessment of investment projects implemented at the expense of budget funds and government borrowing, makes proposals for improving tax, customs and budget legislation, introducing modern budget planning methods, evaluating the ratio of republican and local budgets, monitoring the execution of acts and instructions of the President , external audit of monetary and foreign exchange policy, the state of assets and liabilities of the country, the management of gold and currency currencies ervami and in precious metals and gems.

The main principles of the Accounts Chamber’s activities are defined legality, independence, objectivity, openness and transparency. In addition, the Law defines the mechanisms of interaction between the Accounts Chamber and government bodies and other organizations, as well as regulates the organization of its activities, legal and social protection of officials, including guarantees of legal protection of employees of the Accounts Chamber, material and social support of officials of the Accounts Chamber , financial and logistical support of the Accounts Chamber. The law is approved by the senators.
