Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solemn opening ceremony of the Russian-Uzbek enterprise “Shchyolkovo Agrokhim Uzbekistan” took place in Samarkand region on the territory of the Urgut FEZ, Trade Representation of Russia in Uzbekistan said.

Employees of the Trade Representation of Russia in Uzbekistan took part in the event.

The plant will annually produce over 20,000 tons of chemical plant protection products.

The company has created more than 100 jobs.

Investments in the project exceeded US$30 million, which allowed the company to receive tax benefits for a maximum period of 10 years.

It is important to note that the plant’s products will be exported, including to neighboring Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
