Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov received the Rector of Vilnius University, Chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Lithuanian Universities Rimvydas Petrauskas.

Vilnius University is in the TOP-400 universities in the world. Establishing relations with a real higher educational institution, creating joint educational and scientific programs is mutually beneficial for students and scientific and pedagogical teams of both countries. The university also has extensive experience in implementing large-scale projects in the fields of biotechnology, biomedicine, green energy and launching them into production.

The parties discussed the issue of holding an Uzbek-Lithuanian forum of rectors. It was noted that the forum will serve to further strengthen cooperation between the universities of the two countries.
