Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan with the "Manara" Center from the United Arab Emirates.

The memorandum was signed within the framework of a roundtable discussion on the topic "Dialogue, Coexistence, and Prospects," organized jointly with the "Manara" Center, which addresses issues of peaceful coexistence and regional dialogue in Abu Dhabi.

The event was opened by the director of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukhalikov. During the roundtable, the director of the "Manara" Center, Dr. Ali Rashid al-Nuwaymi, highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of the Islamic Civilization Center, which was established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

He noted that the creation of the center would help present Uzbekistan on the international stage, attract scholars and representatives of the academic community, and play a key role in the country’s development.

Abdukhalikov also shared that, within the framework of cooperation with the "Manara" Center, a branch of the center will begin operations at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan. It is expected that the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan will officially open in September 2025, and to improve the qualifications of museum staff, several researchers from the center will be sent for training to the UAE.

The signing of the memorandum marks an important step in strengthening cultural and scientific ties between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as enhancing the international status of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
