The introduction of ICT in the transport sector is a requirement of the time

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the State Program in the Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy, it is planned to implement a number of serious tasks and projects in accordance with the instructions of the President.

On 28 April 2020, the President’s resolution “On measures for the widespread adoption of the digital economy and e-government” was adopted. Measures are defined with a view to the quality execution of the tasks defined in this resolution.

Currently, on the basis of this resolution, the widespread introduction of digital technologies in all sectors of the economy and public life is being carried out. And one of the current areas of this program is the transport sector.

Undoubtedly, the development of transport infrastructure plays a special place in the development of cities and settlements, is one of the main indicators for determining the quality of life. In this regard, this resolution also found a place for projects aimed at the development of transport infrastructure.

For example, one of the most basic and relevant projects reflected in this document is the integrated planning of the transport system of Tashkent and Samarkand, the introduction of an integrated information system for the development of mathematical models, with the involvement of foreign companies and specialists. The implementation of these projects will undoubtedly give impetus to the development of large cities and increase their tourist attractiveness.

The second significant project in the field of transport is the development and practical implementation of an electronic information system for the allocation of passenger routes to carriers through open tenders. This project will have a direct impact on the development of the transport industry, i.e. will ensure the development of competition in the sphere by ensuring openness and transparency, streamline this sphere.

All projects within the framework of the e-government program aimed at improving the transport sector are, of course, relevant. Their implementation and implementation, in turn, will improve the quality of services for the population and make life more comfortable for our citizens. The development of the transport sector will further increase the tourist attractiveness of our cities and contribute to the development of a national tourism brand.
