The International Institute for Central Asia strengthens partnership with the Korea Foundation and the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the further deepening of interaction between Central Asia and Korea, the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) hosted a meeting with the Vice President of the Korea Foundation and Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum, Rhee Jong-kook.

Recalling that the Secretariat of the Forum for Cooperation "CA+Korea" is an international structure established under the Korea Foundation in 2017. Its goal is to strengthen interaction between the countries of Central Asia and Korea by supporting the systematic implementation of projects within the Forum.

In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the key areas of activity of MICA and the Secretariat, and outlined the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the "CA+" format.

Rhee Jong-kook highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s contribution to strengthening the region’s interaction with Korea and presented his plans for the development of multilateral cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the significance of the upcoming Korea-Central Asia Think Tanks Forum, which will become an additional platform for dialogue and partnership between think tanks of the ROK and Central Asia.

At the end of the meeting, Rhee Jong-kook emphasized that MICA and the Secretariat have common goals and objectives that are in line with the interests of the region and Korea, and expressed his hope for further enhancing cooperation between the countries.
