The International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia 2024" starts in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 22 April, an opening of the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia 2024”, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, was held in Tashkent.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, heads of ministries and departments, industry associations, regional administrations, representatives of the business community of Uzbekistan, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, China, Turkey and other countries.

The delegations of the two countries at the plenary session were headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

In their speeches, the speakers emphasized the importance of holding this international exhibition, which has become an effective platform for the development and strengthening of direct business ties between regions and business representatives from different countries. This is also indicated by the growing interest of business: in 2024, the event will be attended by over 10 thousand people, about 450 foreign companies and business delegations from 27 countries.

There is a consistent development of international and interregional relations. An open trade, investment and transport and communication platform is being formed - joint projects are being implemented in priority sectors of the economy, contacts between regions of the countries are expanding, cultural and humanitarian ties are deepening.

The main priority areas for further cooperation have been identified as joint projects in the fields of metallurgy, energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. Prospects for the development of cooperation in agriculture were separately noted, bearing in mind the creation of joint agro-industrial clusters, including innovative agricultural technologies, processing facilities, warehouse terminals and developed logistics.

In this context, the favorable conditions created in Uzbekistan for investment, implementation and further development of projects based on wide opportunities for preferential exports to third-country markets were announced.

Attention was also focused on the need to intensify joint work in the textile industry.

The creation of electronic trading platforms that allow manufacturers and retailers to enter into mutually beneficial futures contracts is identified as promising. The organization of permanent joint exhibitions of textile enterprises' products can play a major role in this direction.

Having wished the exhibition participants fruitful work, the speakers called on the business circles of the participating countries to use the entire existing potential of the exhibition to conclude mutually beneficial contracts and agreements in the designated industries.

At the end of the plenary session, a tour of the expositions took place, during which representatives of the delegations of the participating countries got acquainted with the wide range of innovative products presented by leading manufacturers.

The program of the first day of the exhibition also included plenary sessions on the topics: “Industrial cooperation in Central Asia: regional focus”, “Inter-industry integration based on aluminum solutions”, “Technological cooperation in the oil and gas industry: best practices, personnel, investments”, “Green light: how the development of environmentally friendly transport is changing the transportation and tourism industry” and others.

B2B meetings are held on the sidelines of the exhibition, providing an opportunity for participants to exchange contacts in detail, discuss new projects and prospects for further collaboration.

The exhibition will continue until 24 April.
