Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Decree of the President “On measures to hold an international festival of folk and applied art” was adopted.

According to the Decree, Qoqand will host the International Festival of Applied Arts once every two years in September.

Also, within the framework of the Festival, a scientific-practical conference will be held on the theme "Prospects for the development of handicraft and folk-applied art."

One of the main objectives of the Festival is the comprehensive support of artisans, promotion of a rich cultural heritage among the world community.
