Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 October, as part of the implementation of the “Global Accelerator for Job Creation and Social Protection for a Just Transition” initiative launched by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, a round table was held with the participation of the leadership of the National Social Protection Agency, UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, ILO, World Bank, UNICEF, GIZ, UN Women, experts from international organizations, representatives of civil society, as well as heads of relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the Round Table was to discuss the implementation of the initiative “Global Accelerator for Job Creation and Social Protection for a Just Transition”, in which our country’s participation as a pioneer country was announced by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

During the Round Table, priority areas and potential sectors of the economy were identified for inclusion in the National Roadmap for the implementation of the Global Accelerator.
