The holy month of Ramadan to begin on 23 March in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The holy month of Ramadan will begin on 23 March in Uzbekistan. The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On the celebration of the holy month of Ramadan at the proper level.”

According to the document, the beginning of the month of Ramadan falls on 23 March.

“The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan announced the coincidence of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan 2023 on March 23,” the text of the document says.

The President of Uzbekistan instructed to pay special attention to the organization of events in the regions that demonstrate such qualities as humanity, exaltation of the honor and dignity of a person, kindness, mercy and generosity, embodied in the essence and content of the month of Ramadan, aimed at the ability to appreciate today's peaceful and prosperous life, strengthening in families and mahallas, throughout the country an atmosphere of kindness and mutual respect, comprehensive support for low-income citizens in need of social protection.

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent, together with the Committee for Religious Affairs and partner organizations, implement measures to celebrate the month of Ramadan in accordance with national traditions and values, at a decent level.
