The heads of 9 regional inspectorates of the STC dismissed from their posts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A two-day seminar was held at the State Tax Committee on the results of work in 2019 and the strategic objectives of the State Tax Service of Uzbekistan for 2020 based on the Message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis.

The seminar was attended by the leadership of the central office of the State Tax Committee, as well as the heads of territorial departments and inspectorates. The seminar, organized in the form of a video selector, brought together employees of all tax departments and inspectorates of the republic.

Among the positive results of work in 2019, high budget revenues were noted. In the republic, the growth of tax revenues amounted to 154%. The best results were achieved by Navoi (186%) and Khorezm regions (165%).

Of the 200 State Tax Inspectorates, 136 (68%) ensured a growth in budget revenues higher than in the republic as a whole.

The maximum amount of budget revenues and the highest performance indicators were shown by 31 State Tax Inspectorates. During the seminar, all employees of these STIs, represented by their superiors, were awarded diplomas.

At the same time, 9 inspectorates achieved the lowest indicators and failed to cope with the tasks. These are the State Tax Inspectorates of the Saykhunabad, Dekhkanabad, Narpay, Khujabad, Balykchinsky, Kumkurgan, Guzarsky, Farish and Romitan regions. The chiefs of these STIs were relieved of their posts.

During the event, new appointments are also presented. 7 employees of the central office of the STC were appointed to new posts, and 9 employees received promotion at once in the territorial bodies of the tax service.

The workshop also identified objectives for 2020.

In particular, this year a system of key performance indicators (KPIs) will be established in all State Tax Offices and inspectorates.

During the current year, it is planned to increase the number of income tax payers by 500 thousand, only in the first quarter the task was set to achieve an increase in their number by 150 thousand.

Segmentation and targeted work with taxpayers, as well as the fight against corruption, are the most important areas to which great attention will be paid in 2020.

Supporting entrepreneurs, protecting their rights and legitimate interests will be an important priority for the tax service this year. Modern tools will be introduced, including a video recording system for tax control measures. In addition, a procedure has been developed for holding lotteries and promotions using checks with a QR code.

The great emphasis of the STC is on personnel policy. The bet will be made specifically on young professionals who will be introduced into the tax system. A contest “My project” will be organized among young people who are ready to introduce their promising ideas into the tax system of the country.

Also this year, the Fiscal Institute will be opened at the STC, and international experts will be actively involved in its creation.

Digitalization of tax administration, modernization of data centers, reengineering and automation of business processes - all territorial tax departments and inspectorates will work in these areas this year.

Great importance will be given to cooperation with the media. Tax authorities are open and transparent to the general public, in this vein, work will also be continued in 2020.
