Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization UNWTO, the Expocenter of the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex will host the Global Investment Forum and an exhibition of tourism organizations and regions on 17-18 October.

The Investment Forum is scheduled to feature 5 panel sessions and 22 presentations with the participation of ministers and heads of international financial institutions.

On an area of 4200 sq.m. tourism and investment potential will be presented by stands of 14 regions of Uzbekistan, 3 tourist and recreational zones (Zaamin, Charvak, Chimen), Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan), stands of 4 startup projects (Japan, Czech Republic, France and Brazil) , as well as stands of the Tourism Committee, Uzbekistan Railways JSC, Uzbekistan Airports JSC and Uzbekistan Helicopters LLC.

In addition, an address list of promising projects worth US$2 billion will be compiled and presented to investors.

For information, more than 120 large foreign investors and more than 500 large domestic companies are expected to participate in the session of the UNWTO General Assembly.
